杭州天竺山法喜寺的入口有一匾，正面刻“入三摩地”。出门时则看到背面，刻“勿向外求”。初以为是规劝的意思，今方觉是方便法门。遇苦痛，则在苦痛上格以致知；遇欢喜，则在欢喜上格以致知；遇寂寞，则在寂寞上格以致知；遇忿恨，则在忿恨上格以致知。致知则向内，心定则入三摩地。致知是心定的法门，向内是入三摩地的法门。
